Wave Action

I have found no better metaphor for life than waves on the ocean. As energy from past events is released upon the sand it seems to release the energy of the complete emotional spectrum along with it. - Athos X

Rocky Mountain Muse

The Rocky Mountains wind north from New Mexico more than 3,000 miles through the American West and into British Columbia. The vistas, changing seasons and diversity of wilderness and wildlife has always inspired me. The Rockies have a way of humbling you, making you feel insignificant and yet thankful to be a part of something much grander than oneself. - Athos X

Depths of Blue

The color of water at various depths and locations has always fascinated me. It seems that all emotions are contained within the colors of the sea, lake, pond or swimming pool. This collection is an appreciation of all the feelings and character present within those hues. - Athos X

Fin Reflections

Surfing represents many things to many people. For some, it’s a flow state of peaceful zen like meditation. For others, it’s an adrenaline fueled drop amidst chaos in search of a fleeting calm. Yes surfing is many things, smiles & sunburns, frustration & elation and the intention of this collection is an attempt to capture the concept that surfing is a reflection of life in its entirety. - Athos X

Summer Sunsets

Each summer sunset has its own personality. This collection is like a year book, where all the images are members of the same class, yet each with their own identity. - Athos X

Coastal Contrast

A collection of surf prints from the shores of Long Island, New York. The Atlantic comes to life on rare occasions, and when it does, the memories of it forever linger on the minds of those who experienced it. My hope is that these images capture the memories of these special days and that they too will live on to be enjoyed for many years in the physical form. - Athos X

Seaside

Looking out over the ocean has always brought me a sense of hope. Perhaps this is an evolutionary trait from when our ancestors would look to the sea and await the return of supply ships, fishermen, explorers or family members. This collection is an expression of those feelings of hope that gazing out over the ocean can bring. - Athos X

Blurred Dreams

A mix of long exposure and heavy contrast was used to create this collection of blurred moments. The collection was inspired by the speed at which summer always seems to pass… in the blink of an eye, yet at the same time with the relaxed slowness of a warm August day. - Athos X

In Flight

I often wonder what it would be like to be a sea bird soaring inches above the water, my wing tips nearly touching their own reflection. The beauty of flight has always impressed me and this collection highlights those fleeting moments. - Athos X

Tidal Observations

A rising tide lifts all boats. We can learn many things from the sea, and perhaps no lesson more important than this one. - Athos X

Sand Scratch

As a child, there was nothing more fun than playing and drawing in the sand. With this collection the aim is to hold on to that childlike curiosity and excitement. - Athos X
